Picket Fences, Season 1 - 1992, TV

Slow starting early Kelley, hits it's stride by season end.

I really liked this show. In my mind this show is one of three excellent, eccentric, and often challenging series' that make up a wonderful period in American television in the early 90's. The other two are Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure. Shows with this level of sophistication and craft are simply no longer made for mainstream consumption on any of the major networks. Instead one has to turn to premium cable to see shows of this caliber like Six Feet Under and Dexter. Even the short-lived Dead Like Me was better than 90% of the shows on in prime time these days.
